AC Milan’s search for a centre-back in the ongoing transfer window has guided the club towards the possibility of signing Bailly from the Red Devils.
The Serie A giants are interested in getting their hands on the defender on loan this month and are they are now pushing for a move to take him to Italy.
Bailly is not happy at Manchester United and is keen on a move to the San Siro in the middle of the season.
And according to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, Manchester United are open to the idea of loaning out Bailly to the Rossoneri this month.
The relationship between the two clubs is cordial and Manchester United loaned out Diogo Dalot to the Serie A giants last season.
Bailly’s salary demands are also very much in line with AC Milan’s wage structure and will not be a stumbling block towards agreeing on a deal.
But an agreement is still not in place as the two clubs will have to thrash out a loan fee and a figure for the option to buy.
However, there is optimism at AC Milan that they will be able to work out a deal with Manchester United to sign Bailly.
