The Reds completed most of their transfer business in terms of recruitment earlier in the window but they are still tipped to be in the market for reinforcements in midfield.

Liverpool have been credited with interest in AC Milan star Bennacer, who played a key role in helping his side lift the Serie A title last season.

The Merseyside giants are claimed to be gearing up to table an offer for the Algerian as they look to snare him away from the San Siro.

However, according to Italian outlet Calciomercato.com, Bennacer will not join Liverpool this summer and they are not in talks with the Rossoneri over a move for him.

Bennacer has impressed at AC Milan in the last two seasons and has several admirers in the Premier League in the ongoing window.

But the 24-year-old will not be leaving AC Milan for a spell at Anfield, even though Liverpool are said to be one of the teams keen on him.

It remains to be seen whether any among Bennacer’s potential suitors in the Premier League come forward with a solid bid for him in the ongoing window.
