Liverpool are showing ‘strong interest’ in snapping up Ecuador international defender Willian Pacho.

The Merseyside giants are looking at a summer of real change with Jurgen Klopp leaving and a new manager arriving.

There have also been changes further up the food chain with a new sporting director and a new football CEO.

Not having a manager in place is not stopping Liverpool pushing ahead with their transfer activity ahead of the summer window opening.

They are expected to strengthen their defence and, according to Italian broadcaster Sky Italia, they have strong interest in Pacho.

Pacho, an Ecuador international, is currently on the books at German Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt.

The 22-year-old has stood out for the club since joining in 2023 from Belgian side Royal Antwerp.

Eintracht Frankfurt are reluctant to let Pacho go this summer, however if Liverpool come calling then club and player not be able to say no.

Pacho will be in action at the Copa America this summer, with Ecuador placed in a group with Mexico, Venezuela and Jamaica.
