Gbamin is among a host of players Everton are open to offloading in the remaining days of the ongoing window.

The midfielder arrived at Goodison Park from German side Mainz in the summer of 2019, but a series of injuries and poor form meant that he has so far failed to establish himself at the club.

Gbamin was shipped off on loan in the second half of last season to Russian outfit CSKA Moscow and another temporary exit is on the cards for him this summer.

Turkish outfit Trabzonspor knocked on Everton’s door asking for Gbamin’s services on a season-long loan deal this week.

Talks between Everton and the Super Lig side over the 26-year-old have progressed well and according to Turkish daily Hurriyet, the player is on the verge of leaving Goodison Park.

Gbamin is closing in on a loan move to Trabzonspor and will fly to Turkey today to be put through his medical paces ahead of the switch.

Trabzonspor will not be paying Everton a loan fee for Gbamin, who is contracted at the club until the summer of 2024.

He will represent the second Everton midfielder to move to Turkey within a matter of days, following Dele Alli’s switch to Besiktas.
