Zaniolo and Roma are rapidly running out of time to part ways before the window closes tonight.

The relationship between the club and the player has collapsed as the Serie A giants push to move him on today.

Bournemouth were out of the race to sign him by the time the player decided to agree to a move to Dean Court and Leeds are yet to find an agreement with Roma, having been looking for a loan.

And according to Italian outlet Calciomercato.it, Everton are now in the race to sign the attacking midfielder today.

The Toffees are scrambling around for players on the final day of the transfer window and they have now made a enquiry for Zaniolo.

Roma are looking to sell him on a permanent deal and want the €30m that Bournemouth offered for the player.

Everton have money to spend following Anthony Gordon’s departure but so far, they are yet to bring in anyone.

It remains to be seen whether Everton can convince Roma and the player with an attractive offer, and whether Leeds will look to respond in the coming hours.
