The Baggies are trying to do business before the transfer window closes as they look to strengthen Carlos Corberan’s hand.

They were forced to pull out of a swoop for Nottingham Forest’s Lewis O’Brien, but are trying to snap up Omari Hutchinson from Chelsea.

West Brom also want Leicester winger Albrighton and are trying to put a deal in place for the 33-year-old.

If the Baggies are successful in their approach then Albrighton, who won the Premier League title at Leicester, would join on loan.

He has struggled for game time under Brendan Rodgers so far this season with just six league outings.

Albrighton has been involved though in Leicester’s last three Premier League games and chipped in with an assist in a 2-2 draw at home against Brighton.

He is just five appearances short of hitting the 300 mark at Leicester and has 18 months left on his contract.
