And Italiano raved about David Moyes’ men, besides insisting that Fiorentina need to focus on themselves and appear on the pitch clear-headed.
He also admitted that his side deserve to be in the final and while the Fiorentina boss conceded that a one-off game such as this one can hinge on a small mistake, La Viola will give everything to bring happiness to their fans.
“We arrive after an exciting season, after a journey where we deserve to play for this trophy and we are aware of our strength”, Italiano told Sky Italia.
“Knowing also that in a final any mistake or small incident can make the difference.
“We want to give this joy to our public.“
While asked about Fiorentina’s opponents West Ham, Italiano asserted: “They didn’t do very well in the league but they are a very competitive team with top players and a capable coach.
“We have to focus on ourselves and be clear-headed.“
The Hammers are expected to lose their captain and midfield jewel Declan Rice this summer and they will be looking to win the European glory to give him a parting gift.
