Zakaria spent last season on loan at Chelsea but the Blues did not take up the option to make the move permanent.

The midfielder is surplus to requirements at Juventus and the club are keen to listen to offers for him in the ongoing transfer window.

West Ham have been tracking him and have been holding talks with intermediaries over getting a deal done for the midfielder.

And according to Italian broadcaster Sky Italia, the Hammers are expected to put in an offer for the Swiss international today.

West Ham’s first bid is set to be around the €18m, which is not going to be enough to get a deal done.

Juventus want a fee of €25m from his departure but a compromise is expected to be reached between the two clubs.

Zakaria is keen on a move back to England as well and more talks are expected to take place between the two clubs and his representatives.
