The centre-back has been heavily linked with a move away from Torino this summer following a solid season in Italy and he has several suitors in the Premier League.

Schuurs added more intrigue to speculation over his future on Monday when he claimed that he is not sure whether he will stay at Torino next season.

West Ham have been mulling over making a move for the Dutchman, while Liverpool are said to have seen an offer turned down, but Palace have made a decisive move to try and sign the defender.

According to Italian broadcaster DAZN Italia, the Eagles have gone in with a bid and a contract offer to land Schuurs.

Crystal Palace are claimed to have tabled a bid worth €35m with Torino in order to convince them to sell the centre-back.

The Eagles have also put down a lucrative contract offer in front of Schuurs to consider a move to Selhurst Park.

Palace believe that they have offered a solid financial package to both Torino and the player and are looking to work out an agreement as soon as possible.

It remains to be seen whether Crystal Palace’s decisive action leads to them beating other Premier League rivals to the signature of Schuurs this summer.
