The England captain is the top target for the Bavarians but they are facing a tough negotiator on the other side of the table in Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.

Levy has already rejected two offers from the German champions and Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen and technical director Marco Neppe met him in London on Monday.

They are plotting to table a new bid but Kane has set a deadline after which he will not leave Tottenham this summer.

It has been claimed that the forward has given Bayern Munich until Spurs’ first league game of the season to sort out the transfer.

If the forward is still at Tottenham when they take on Bournemouth on 13th August, he will not leave the club.

He has made it clear that he will stay at the club if he is lining up against Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium.

The German champions have less than two weeks to work out a deal to sign him from the north London club this summer.
