The Reds failed to land Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia this summer and shifted their focus to Japanese international Endo.

Liverpool agreed a deal worth €20m plus €5m in add-ons with Stuttgart to acquire the signature of Endo, who signed a four-year deal with Klopp’s side.

Klopp admitted that the 30-year-old is a player of an age group that Liverpool usually do not go after in the transfer window but pointed out that Endo will be able to help the Merseyside outfit immediately.

The Liverpool boss believes that the Japanese international will fit his squad and is confident that Endo will show on the pitch how good he is.

“If he’s not 30, firstly, I am not sure we get him”, Klopp told Liverpool’s official site.

‘Second, he was always on my list, just usually we don’t sign players of this age group.

“He is obviously a top fit and we will have a lot of fun with him.

“I’m really sure he can help us immediately, which is super-cool because the season already started.

“So, he will show how good he is on the pitch and I can’t wait to have him around.”

Liverpool will take on Bournemouth at the weekend and it remains to be seen whether Endo will get his chance to make his debut for the club on Saturday.
