The Addicks sacked Dean Holden at the weekend, with the club languishing in 19th position in the League One standings.

The London side’s hunt for a manager is ongoing and they approached a familiar face in the shape of Chris Powell to become interim manager.

However, the English manager who guided Charlton to their League One glory during the 2011/12 season, turned down the offer.

Furthermore, it has been suggested in some quarters that the Addicks are mulling over roping in on Northampton boss Brady.

However, the London outfit have refused to be drawn on suggestions of being linked with the manager of their fellow League One side.

Charlton will look to quickly get back on track after a new manager takes over.

The Addicks will want to climb the League One standings quickly and put together a promotion tilt.
