O’Neil took over Wolves after the club parted ways with Julen Lopetegui just a few days before the beginning of the new season.

Wolves are 15th in the league table with only three points from four games and are only two points clear of the relegation zone.

Ruddy believes that O’Neil can now focus on the season as the transfer window is closed and that Wolves’ boss will have a clear idea about the squad he is working with.

The former Wolves goalkeeper is of the view that the English tactician will just need to find the balance between attack and defence and sees no reason to worry about relegation.

“The positive that Gary has is there’s no more disruptions now”, Ruddy told the Express & Star.

“Up until January the window is shut and he knows his squad and who he’s working with.

“That’s the same for the players.

“They know what he’s going to be asking of them on a daily basis and they can work on it.

“It’s not going to be a surprise if you see them pick up form in the next few weeks and put some results together.

“If you can marry the two, with the balance of attacking and defending, then there’s nothing to worry about in my eyes.”

Wolves are set to face Liverpool after the international break before they take on Luton Town 23rd September.
