A product of the Leeds academy, the 17-year-old midfielder broke into the Leeds first team this season and has been a key part of the side.

 

He has started seven of the eight Championship games so far this season and is rated highly at Elland Road.

 

 

 

The midfielder admitted that he is enjoying every moment of his time in the Leeds first team and is taking in the experience of being around seasoned professionals in the team.

 

The teenager said on LUTV: “I have just enjoyed every moment of it.

 

 

“I am still a kid pretty much. I am just taking in every experience.

 

“I have been around the team and I am just enjoying it.”

 

 

Gray comes from a family steeped in Leeds history with his father, grandfather and grand uncle representing the Whites.

 

He conceded that he has been dreaming of playing for Leeds since he was young and he had to live up to the family tradition.

 

“Yes, pretty much yes [I had to fulfil my destiny], ever since I was young.

 

“Watched my dad play, heard about you [Eddie] playing and my granddad Frank and I have always tried to live up to it.”

 

Gray has made ten senior appearances for Leeds and has been tipped to have a bright career ahead of him.
