The 20-year-old centre-forward is a product of Norwich’s academy and is very highly rated at Carrow Road.

This season, Norwich sent Kamara on a season-long loan to Portsmouth to experience first-team football and he has featured 15 times for Pompey in the league while being deployed as a winger in the majority of the games.

Mousinho pointed out that the Norwich star has done very well, featuring in an unfamiliar position for his team and stated that Kamara has exceeded their expectations.

The Portsmouth boss also added that Kamara has been a real threat in their forward department this season and pointed out that he has managed to help the team with assists and goals playing as a winger.

“Abu has far exceeded where we thought he might be; he’s had to fill in an unfamiliar position and, in a lot of those games, has got goals and assists”, Mousinho told The News.

“He’s looked a real threat and done a really good job playing on the left.”

The Norwich loanee has so far featured in 20 games in all competition for Portsmouth this season and he has managed to score twice while assisting two goals in the process.

The Carrow Road big wigs are sure to be keeping close tabs on his development on the south coast.
