After securing ten points from their initial four league games, Norwich have seen their form take a dip as they have only managed to pick up ten points from their last ten league games.

The Canaries’ failure to knit winning runs has been questioned by former players and the fans, and Wagner has been on the receiving end of heavy criticism.

Roberts also pointed out that under Wagner, Norwich have only managed to win back-to-back games three times and the former player stressed that the German tactician should give hard thought to why his team have failed to carry on winning momentum.

He stressed the importance of teams going on a winning streak, as Roberts believes that it can make a massive difference for a club.

“Wagner’s only won back-to-back league games three times with City”, Roberts wrote in his Pink Un column.

“His first two games; then they had a run of three wins on the spin against Birmingham, Cardiff and Millwall again, in February last year, and then this season when they beat Millwall and Huddersfield.

“It’s something that he hasn’t done enough of as a manager, for some reason and he’s got to look at himself and think, why haven’t I won enough back-to-back games? Because that makes a massive difference.

“You win two or three on the spin and it makes a world difference for your whole football club, but he hasn’t done it enough.”

On Saturday, Wagner has an opportunity to win back-to-back games, when Norwich welcome relegation-threatening Queens Park Rangers.
