Norwich managed to end their winless streak just before the international break against Cardiff City with a 3-2 victory.

David Wagner’s side are currently 16th in the league table with 20 points from 16 games and they are only six points short of the last playoff spot.

Roberts pointed out that December is the month that can make or break a team and assured Norwich fans that the Canaries’ promotion dream is still alive.

The ex-Norwich City star believes that Wagner’s side now have to take the an ongoing campaign as a 30-game season and stressed that while the top four might be unattainable, the remaining two playoff spots are still up for grabs.

“You look at December, it’s the busiest month in the football calendar, they’ve got seven games”, Roberts wrote in his Pink Un column.

“I think for a lot of teams December can make or break you.

“At the minute, whatever Norwich fans believe and hope their expectations are, they’ve still got a chance of finishing in the top six.

“I think the top four run away with it, they’re in a different league to anybody else.

“It’s how they finish in that top four, we’ll have to wait and see.

“But anybody else, I think there are two play-off places up for grabs, even at this early stage.”

“City’s season is down to 30 games.

“Forget what’s happened up until now. We can’t affect that, it’s gone.”

Norwich are back in action against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday at Carrow Road and Wagner will be hoping to build winning momentum by snatching three points from the struggling London outfit.
