Some at Crystal Palace feel that the game against Brentford should be Roy Hodgson’s last chance, though there is a split on who could succeed him, according to the Sun.

Hodgson transformed Palace’s fortunes last season and rescued a club in freefall, but following the summer exit of Wilfried Zaha he is finding the going tougher this term.

Crystal Palace’s last win came at the start of November and they have lost five of their last eight games, albeit the last four matches have seen meetings with Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea in that run.

Hodgson is now at risk of the sack and some at the club believe that Saturday’s home game against Brentford should be his final chance.

Who might succeed Hodgson however is unclear.

While former Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper is the clear favourite, there are those at the club who do not agree.

Former Eintracht Frankfurt coach Oliver Glasner has admirers at Selhurst Park.

Glasner, who is highly rated, has been linked with the Besiktas job, but is claimed to have told the Turkish outfit that wholesale changes would be needed to the squad on his watch.
