Aston Villa winger Moussa Diaby has admitted he may return to Paris Saint-Germain in the future and stressed the French giants remain in his heart.

Diaby, who was born in Paris, came through the youth set-up at the French side and turned out for the senior team at the Parc des Princes before heading to Bayer Leverkusen in 2019.

He shone in Germany and earned a big money move to Aston Villa, where he has quickly picked up the pace of the Premier League.

Diaby has also been capped by France at international level and some may feel a move back to Ligue 1 and to his roots could make sense for the 24-year-old in the future.

Many PSG fans still follow Diaby and hope for him to return, something which pleases the Aston Villa winger, who admits it could be possible and even if it is not, he will be a PSG fan for life.

“Often, I am told that the supporters are thinking of my return. It’s nice. It means that I haven’t been forgotten”, Diaby was quoted as saying by Maxifoot.fr.

“The supporters know that I was trained at the this club and that I will always be ready to give everything for this shirt.

“If I hadn’t been good, people wouldn’t have thought about my return.

“It’s nice to read and know.

“I might come back, be it one day. In any case, PSG will remain in my heart for life.”

In total, Diaby turned out on 34 occasions for PSG, scoring four goals and providing seven assists.

The winger so far also has four goals this season for Aston Villa, in 26 appearances, with Unai Emery giving him chances to shine in the Premier League and in the Europa Conference League.
