Tottenham Hotspur are expected to contact Genoa about Radu Dragusin in the next few hours, it has been claimed in Italy.
Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou has been clear that his side will be looking to sign a centre-back in the January transfer window.
Genoa’s Dragusin, who has shone in Serie A this term and has a number of admirers, has emerged as a key target for Tottenham ahead of the window.
And now, with the January transfer window on the brink of opening, Spurs could be about to start their push to sign him.
According to Italian outlet Tutto Juve, Tottenham are expected to contact Genoa within the next few hours to open talks.
Genoa are believed to want €30m to let Dragusin go, though Tottenham are not expected to want to go that high for the defender.
The Rossoblu are reluctant to lose Dragusin mid-season, but a substantial proposal from Spurs could cause a rethink at the Italian side.
Dragusin, 21, has made 18 appearances in Serie A so far this season and has only gone in the book once, in a 1-1 draw at Inter.
All eyes will now be on whether Spurs do contact Genoa and what comes from the talks.
