Juventus winger Matias Soule is only prepared to move to Southampton if they return to the Premier League.
The Argentine winger has been impressing while on loan at Frosinone and drawing interest from England in the process.
Juventus are prepared to listen to offers for the 20-year-old, although it is more likely he will only move in the summer.
Southampton are hugely keen on Soule, but the player is not prepared to consider moving to Saints while they are in the Championship.
Soule, according to Italian outlet Calciomercato.com, will only consider Southampton when they have returned to the Premier League.
As such, Saints’ hopes of a €30m deal for the winger rest on which league they are in by the summer.
Under Russell Martin, Southampton currently sit in third place in the Championship following a good run of form and a surge up the table.
Saints are now only three points off the last automatic promotion spot, currently held by Ipswich Town.
