Leicester City are interested in teenage defender David Odogu, who currently turns out for German side Wolfsburg, according to the Sun.

Odogu won the Under-17 World Cup with Germany and is considered a top talent in the country.

The 17-year-old’s development has not gone unnoticed outside Germany, with Chelsea having held talks over taking him to Stamford Bridge.

The Blues are not the only English side interested in the defender though as Leicester are also keen.

Leicester look firmly on course for a return to the Premier League and are planning ahead.

They like Odogu and rate the defender, who has been compared to Antonio Rudiger.

Odogu has not yet played a senior game for Wolfsburg and losing him would be a blow for the Bundesliga outfit.

It remains to be seen whether a switch this month is on the cards for the defender or whether he might move in the summer.
