Napoli are prepared to offer more money to grease the wheels in their pursuit of Tottenham Hotspur target Radu Dragusin this month, it has been claimed in Italy.

The 21-year-old centre-back has been Tottenham’s top target and the club have been in talks with Genoa over getting a deal done.

Personal terms are in place between Spurs and the player and the club have been growing optimistic about working out a deal with Genoa as well.

But Napoli are now attempting to throw a spanner in the works of Tottenham’s efforts and they are pushing to sign the centre-back.

According to Italian daily Corriere dello Sport (via Tutto Napoli), Genoa knocked back a cash-plus player offer of €13m and Alessandro Zanoli from the Serie A champions.

It has not deterred Napoli from continuing to chase Dragusin and they are now working on a new bid.

The Serie A giants are prepared to offer more in terms of cash and are even ready to throw Leo Ostigard into the mix.

Napoli are pressing to beat Tottenham to the signature of the talented young Romanian defender.

Genoa are said to be holding out for a valuation of €30m before agreeing to sell Dragusin this month.
