Southampton out on loan striker Paul Onuachu has revealed that he has never experienced the level of care Trabzonspor take of their players at any other club he has played for.
Saints sent the 29-year-old centre forward out on a season-long loan to Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor in the summer.
Onuachu has been in excellent form since joining Trabzonspor and has scored eight times in 13 league appearances for the club.
The Southampton striker is hugely impressed with how he has been welcomed on the Black Sea coast and admits that the club have looked after him like none of his previous sides have.
Onuachu also revealed that the way Trabzonspor fans received him on his arrival in Turkey gave him a lot of confidence.
“When I evaluate how the clubs care about their players, I can clearly say that I have never seen what I experienced at Trabzonspor at any of the clubs I have played for before”, Onuachu told Trabzonspor’s official magazine (via Sabah).
“Because the level of care they take towards the players, not only towards me but also towards everyone, is incredible.
“The players’ level of care for the players in every respect.
“They make sure you are comfortable.
“It doesn’t matter if it is two or three in the morning, if you have a problem, when you call, someone is at your door for help within almost five minutes.
“This is very impressive. On the other hand, Trabzonspor fans are also great.
“For example, even the welcome at the airport gave me a lot of self-confidence.
“They are the same in the stadium. I thank them very much for their support.”
Trabzonspor are impressed with Onuachu and want to keep him on a permanent basis, with negotiations expected to take place with Southampton.
