Genoa defender Radu Dragusin is pushing for a move to Tottenham Hotspur despite interest from Serie A champions Napoli.
The 21-year-old centre-back has emerged as Tottenham’s top defensive target in the ongoing winter transfer window.
Personal terms are in place between the player and Spurs and the north London club are now in talks to work out a deal with Genoa over a transfer fee.
Tottenham are still some way away from Genoa’s €30m asking price and they are also having to deal with competition from Napoli, who are prepared to offer a cash-plus player deal to Genoa.
However, according to Italian outlet Calciomercato.it, Dragusin is very clear about wanting the move to the north London club.
The Romanian defender wants to play for Tottenham in the Premier League and is pushing for the move.
Napoli are still trying to get their hands on him as they need a defender and there is a paucity of quality options in January.
However, it would take a real U-turn for Napoli to beat Tottenham to the signature of Dragusin this month, but the southern Italians have not given up.
