Turkish giants Trabzonspor are also in the mix for Celtic and Rangers target Scott McKenna, according to The Athletic.

The 27-year-old defender has not featured for Nottingham Forest since starting the first five Premier League games of the season.

He has not been making matchday squads and the club are keen to move him on in the January transfer widow.

The former Aberdeen defender has interest from north of the border where both Celtic and Rangers are keen on him.

However, the Scottish giants will have to contend with competition from Turkey.

McKenna is interesting Trabzonspor, who would like to take him to the Black Sea Coast.

Trabzonspor are in the market for defensive reinforcements and McKenna is seen as a viable option.

With Nottingham Forest keen to move McKenna on, he is expected to switch clubs before the end of the month.

And a move to Turkey could be one which appeals to the ex-Aberdeen man.
