Celtic target Lawrence Shankland could see out his contract at Hearts before considering leaving the club, according to the National World.

Shankland has been in terrific form this season and has scored 18 times in 28 appearances in all competitions for Hearts.

He is the Scottish Premiership’s top goalscorer this season and there is constant talk of him leaving Hearts in the winter window.

Celtic have their eyes on him with suggestions that Brendan Rodgers wants to add one more forward to his squad this month.

Hearts do not want to sell and it could take a big bid to convince them to let their best striker leave in the middle of the season.

And it has been claimed that even Shankland might not be prepared to leave in the winter window.

He has 18 months left on his contract and the forward could consider seeing out the rest of his contract at Hearts.

If the 28-year-old remains in form, he is likely to attract more lucrative offers when he will be a free agent in 2025.
