Hearts have received an enquiry from Livingston regarding the availability of midfielder Andy Halliday, according to the Edinburgh News.

The 32-year-old joined Hearts from Rangers on a free transfer in the summer of 2020 and helped the Jambos to win promotion back to the Scottish Premiership.

Halliday has 109 appearances under his belt for Hearts with 13 goals and 12 assists to his name.

This season, Halliday has fallen down the pecking order under Steven Naismith and has made only three league appearances so far.

Livingston, who are at the bottom of the Scottish Premiership table, are determined to strengthen their squad to avoid relegation.

And David Martindale has identified Halliday as a potential target to strengthen his side’s options.

Livingston have now gone in with an enquiry as they look to take Halliday to the Tony Macaroni.

However, Halliday, whose contract with Hearts is set to expire at the end of May, has yet to make a decision on his future.
