West Ham United are monitoring Norwich City forward Jonathan Rowe, with homegrown players in mind, according to the Evening Standard.

The Premier League outfit are suffering from an injury crisis and David Moyes has been left shorthanded in the final third department with the injuries to Jarrod Bowen and Lucas Paqueta.

The Hammers are desperate for forward additions in the ongoing window and have been linked with several players.

Moyes’ side have seen an approach for Genoa forward Albert Gudmundsson rebuffed and have a firm interest in Sunderland’s Jack Clarke.

It has been claimed that the Hammers are also monitoring Norwich City’s 20-year-old winger Rowe, as they are keen to land homegrown stars and that counts in favour of the Canaries talent.

The Canaries star came through Norwich’s academy system and has been a regular in David Wagner’s starting line-up.

This season, Rowe has turned some heads with his impressive form, scoring ten times in 24 league outings for Norwich.

The Hammers are keen to target homegrown players if possible and Rowe fits the bill.

West Ham are not the only Premier League outfit interested in Rowe, as Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton have also been linked with the player.
