Southampton want £6m to let Crystal Palace and Wolves target Che Adams walk away from St Mary’s this month, according to talkSPORT.

Adams generated interest from the top-flight last summer after Southampton were relegated, but he stayed put.

With less than six months left on his current contract though and the player showing no signs of extending the deal, Saints are showing willingness to sell.

Southampton have in fact slapped in a £6m price tag on Adams, making it clear for interested clubs that they will have to pay up to secure his services in January.

Crystal Palace and Wolves are both admirers and want to improve their attacking options this month – but it remains to be seen if they would pay £6m for Adams.

The striker will be able to move as a free agent in the summer and clubs may consider the price tag too much.

Adams has been in good goalscoring form of late, having found the back of the net three times in Southampton’s last four Championship matches.

Saints manager Russell Martin has previously insisted that turning down a good offer for the player could be very expensive.
