Sheffield Wednesday will face competition from fellow Championship clubs to sign Arsenal star Mika Biereth, according to The Star.

The Owls have already brought in two signings in the ongoing window, but boss Danny Rohl wants more to boost their survival hopes.

Despite the signing of forward Ike Ugbo, Sheffield Wednesday are still in the market for another forward.

Arsenal star Biereth, who is currently on loan at Motherwell in Scotland, has attracted attention from the Hillsborough outfit.

The 20-year-old centre forward has featured 14 times for Motherwell and has scored six times while assisting five goals in the process.

However, Sheffield Wednesday are not the only suitors in the market for Biereth, as he is garnering interest from other sides in the Championship.

It is still unclear whether Arsenal are interested in recalling the young striker from Motherwell to send him on loan elsewhere.

Sheffield Wednesday are also looking at Birmingham City’s Scott Hogan and it remains to be seen whether the Owls will be able to sign a forward before the window closes.
