Swansea City have seen a bid for Romaine Mundle turned down by Standard Liege, with Stoke City and Plymouth Argyle also in the hunt, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Former Tottenham Hotspur talent Mundle could be on the move this month and he is not short of suitors in the Championship.

The winger was only snapped up by Belgian side Standard Liege in June after he penned a four-year deal to end his association with Tottenham.

Mundle is now a wanted man by a host of Championship clubs during this month’s transfer window and Swansea have made a solid play for his signature.

The Welsh giants have been in to Standard Liege with a bid, but it has been rejected by the Belgians.

Swansea are retaining their interest in the 20-year-old and they are not alone.

Fellow Championship sides Stoke and Plymouth are also keen to snap up the former Spurs starlet this month.

All eyes will be on whether Swansea now go back with a fresh offer and whether Stoke and Plymouth take solid steps to rival them for Mundle.

Mundle has made five appearances in the Belgian top flight for Standard Liege this term.
