Sheffield Wednesday target Mika Biereth is putting the finishing touches to a move to Austrian side Sturm Graz, according to the Evening Standard.

Biereth was recently recalled by Arsenal from a loan spell at Scottish Premiership side Motherwell, which angered the Fir Park outfit.

Danny Rohl wants the forward at Sheffield Wednesday and it had been thought that Hillsborough would be the 20-year-old’s destination.

However, it is to Austria that Biereth is heading and he is set to sign for Austrian Bundesliga side Sturm Graz.

The Denmark Under-21 international is now in the process of putting the finishing touches to his loan switch to Austria.

Arsenal will be looking to see how the forward copes with a different type of football and different demands in Austria.

The development is a blow to Sheffield Wednesday as they fight to survive in the Championship.

Rohl’s side have scored just 21 goals in 27 league outings and the German boss knows that number needs to improve quickly.
