Tottenham Hotspur are in talks with Club Brugge to negotiate a deal to sign winger Antonio Nusa as they bid to get ahead of their Premier League rivals, according to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri.

Spurs have already signed Timo Werner and Radu Dragusin in the ongoing window and are weighing up the potential of signing a midfielder this month.

Tottenham also have their eyes on several players who they are not necessarily planning to sign in January.

Nusa is one of the players who is being targeted by Tottenham as a long-term prospect and the club are wary of competition from other teams.

Chelsea have been keeping tabs on the 18-year-old, while other Premier League sides are keen and it has been claimed that Spurs have made a move to try and get a deal done soon.

They have initiated talks with Club Brugge over working out an agreement for Nusa to join Tottenham.

The plan is to have a deal in place now for the winger to move to Tottenham next summer.

The negotiations are concrete but for the moment Nusa does not want to get distracted at Club Brugge.

The winger is focusing on the rest of the season but Tottenham are working behind the scenes to get a deal done soon.

Spurs are wary of waiting until the summer as their Premier League rivals could also then jump into the mix.
