Dutch giants Ajax have certain financial expectations if they are to sell Crystal Palace target Chuba Akpom in the ongoing winter transfer window.

Akpom joined Ajax from Middlesbrough last summer but he has not been a regular starter in the Netherlands.

The forward wants to move on from the Dutch giants ahead of the end of the transfer window on Thursday night.

Crystal Palace are amongst the Premier League clubs who are interested in signing the former Arsenal forward in the coming days.

Ajax paid a fee of €12.3m to sign Akpom and according to Dutch daily De Telegraaf, they want somewhere around €15m to €20m before sanctioning the striker’s sale.

The Dutch giants do not want to sell him for a knock-down fee and want to turn a profit from his departure.

Ajax also want to have the funds needed to sign an experienced replacement if Akpom leaves.

The club are not prepared to entertain any loan offers for Akpom unless they have an obligatory purchase clause attached to them.
