Tottenham Hotspur are set to Barcelona to the signature of Swedish teen sensation Lucas Bergvall, according to The Athletic.

Barcelona believed that they had the deal in the bag after they reached an agreement with Djurgarden.

The teenage midfielder even visited the Barcelona training ground and Nou Camp on Wednesday with the club anticipating a positive answer.

However, Bergvall left Catalunya without providing an answer and Tottenham are now set to sign him.

The north London club’s charm offensive was led by their technical director Johan Lange and he managed to convince the youngster.

Bergvall and his camp only made the decision tonight and he will be joining Tottenham in the summer.

Spurs already have an agreement in place with Djurgarden and will pay the Swedish outfit €10m for the teenager.

Bergvall will be in London on Friday to undergo a medical and sign a five-year contract with Tottenham.

He will spend the coming months at Djurgarden and will join the Tottenham senior squad in the summer.
