Rangers boss Philippe Clement has insisted he is not concerned at looking at Celtic after his side closed the gap on the Bhoys.

Brendan Rodgers’ side were held to a 1-1 draw by Aberdeen at Pittodrie on Saturday lunchtime and dropped crucial points in the title battle.

Rangers made no mistake in taking advantage and thrashed Livingston 3-0 to move to within three points of Celtic, while having a game in hand.

Clement has transformed Rangers since taking over and feels that bit by bit the Gers are producing the football he wants to see, while also easing the nervous pressure.

The Belgian insists that he is not focused on what Celtic are doing and is instead throwing himself into his work, with lots still to do.

“We see more and more the football we want to see. That’s important. It’s been a really pleasing afternoon”, Clement told BBC Radio Scotland.

“It’s a big difference from the beginning. The first day I stepped in here, you felt impatience from the fans. Everybody was nervous

“Now everybody has confidence in the players, the players feel that too.

“The team know now that if they repeat their actions, goals will come.

“I’m not busy with Celtic or other teams. I’m only busy with winning games. I’ll be busy with ranking teams at the end of the season.

“We still have a lot of work to do.”

Next up for Rangers is a home visit from Aberdeen and it remains to be seen if the Dons will have a permanent or interim manager at the helm when they head to Ibrox on Tuesday night.
