Former Birmingham City boss John Eustace has agreed to become the new Blackburn Rovers manager and should be in the dugout for the Stoke City game, according to the Daily Mirror.

Jon Dahl Tomasson has agreed an exit package with Blackburn Rovers and departed the club by mutual consent.

The Dane, who was left unhappy by budget cuts, has been tipped to become the new boss of the Sweden national team.

Blackburn are now turning the page and Eustace has arrived at Ewood Park after agreeing terms.

He is expected to put pen to paper and will be in the dugout for Blackburn’s Championship game against Stoke.

Blackburn have been keen to have a new boss in place for the clash against Stoke.

Eustace was controversially sacked by Birmingham City earlier this season despite having Blues in the upper reaches of the Championship.

He will now be hoping to quickly push Blackburn up the table and banish relegation worries at Ewood Park.
