Gordon Dalziel has insisted that he does not see Fabio Silva turning out to be a prolific goalscorer for Rangers this season despite being a good player.

Rangers signed the forward on loan from Wolves for the rest of the season at the start of the January transfer window.

He has impressed in the number of minutes he has received on the pitch for Rangers since joining the club and scored his first league goal in their 3-0 win over Livingston earlier this month.

Dalziel has been left pleased with what he has seen of the forward and believes he is a very good player who is only getting better as he continues to adapt to Scottish football.

However, the former Rangers star does not see the makings of a prolific goalscorer for the Glasgow giants in the 21-year-old Portuguese attacker.

Daziel said on Clyde 1’s Superscoreboard: “Silva, I think is a very good player.

“He is getting better with more games and obviously, getting used to the Scottish game.

“He will get his few goals but he will not be prolific.”

It remains to be seen whether Silva gets a start when Rangers host Ross County at Ibrox tonight.
