Rangers boss Philippe Clement has revealed his disappointment at the injury picked up by Gers midfielder Todd Cantwell.

Cantwell has been an important player this season and has played a key role in lifting Rangers to the summit of the Scottish Premiership.

He responded well to being substituted in the first-half by Clement in a Europa League game and since then, has been one of the first names on the team-sheet for Rangers.

However, the midfielder has picked up an injury and will now be missing in action for a few weeks.

The Rangers boss is not too happy about missing one of his key players as Rangers approach a busy period of the season.

However, he did reveal Kemar Roofe is fit again and will be in the squad to face Hearts on Saturday.

Clement said in a press conference: “Todd Cantwell will be out for a few weeks which is disappointing but that is football.

“Kemar Roofe has trained this week and he will be in the squad for tomorrow.”

It remains to be seen how Clement retools his team when Rangers host Hearts at Ibrox in less than 24 hours.
