Scunthorpe United are not about to make a managerial change ahead of their meeting with strugglers Bishop’s Stortford, according to BBC Radio Humberside.

Irons boss Jimmy Dean saw his men crushed 4-0 by Darlington at the weekend in a shock loss.

It continued a run of poor form for Scunthorpe, who have won just one of their last seven National League North games.

They have increasingly failed to make up ground on league leaders Tamworth and it has been suggested in some quarters that a change in the dugout could be on the way.

Scunthorpe though will make no imminent managerial change, with Dean set to be in charge for the trip to Bishop’s Stortford.

Bishop’s Stortford have lost their last nine games, across all competitions, and Dean will hope for a comfortable and morale-boosting win.

His position beyond that game is unclear, but Scunthorpe will then visit Spennymoor Town before welcoming Banbury United.

The Iron have another nine league games this season to try to close the 12-point gap on Tamworth.
