Former Derby County star Shaun Barker is of the opinion that the Rams are managing to get everything right on the pitch at the most important time of the season.
Derby’s 2-1 victory over Reading on Tuesday marked their third straight win in the league.
Now the Rams are second in the league table with 75 points from 38 games and they are one point clear of Bolton Wanderers, sitting in third place.
Next, Derby will take on Bolton Wanderers at the weekend and Barker thinks that every game from now to the end of the season will be decisive for the Rams.
Barker also pointed out that Derby are now getting everything right on the pitch at a crucial juncture of their season and praised the Rams players’ displays of brilliant energy in recent games.
When asked whether the game against Bolton at the weekend will prove decisive, Barker told Derby’s official media: “Well, every game is going to feel like that from now until the end of the season.
“And what is promising and what is positive is the way that we are performing and getting results at the moment.
“Throughout the season, I think we have times where performances have been brilliant and then results have not been great, and vice versa.
“It just feels, at this point, probably the most important time of the season, we’ve found everything.
“We’ve found players that are performing at a high level; we’ve found a way to play and build in different ways.
“The energy from the lads has been exceptional, so hopefully we have hit the sweet spot right there.”
In September, when Derby travelled to The Toughsheet Community Stadium, they suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Bolton.
