Charlton Athletic boss Nathan Jones believes that going eight games unbeaten, regardless of the level, is a fine achievement.
Jones’ side were looking for three wins on the spin when they visited Fleetwood Town in League One on Saturday.
They were though held 1-1 by Charlie Adam’s Fleetwood, who are fighting hard to survive in League One.
The Addicks, who are increasingly putting distance between themselves and the relegation zone, are now eight games unbeaten under Jones.
The Welshman insisted that is a good achievement at any level of world football and he is now focused on getting his side ready for Exeter City away.
“We are eight games unbeaten, which, at any level in world football is good”, Jones told Charlton’s media.
“We’ll do a bit of both [recharging the batteries and more work in international break]. We’ll have a good balance, but it’s important we don’t lose the rhythm and momentum.
“We have a game against Exeter away, which is a tough game, and then Stevenage, Barnsley, Wigan, so it’s a tough fixture list coming up.”
After travelling to Exeter, Charlton have a run of three consecutive home games, which Jones will be keen to make sure they take full advantage of.
