Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson has escaped serious injury, but is a doubt for the Reds’ upcoming games, according to the Daily Mail.

Robertson picked up an injury during Scotland’s friendly defeat against Northern Ireland over the course of the international break.

The full-back looked to twist his ankle and there were instantly fears about a lengthy injury which would have been a big blow for Liverpool.

Robertson though has escaped serious injury and is now set to see how his ankle settles down.

The defender is a doubt for Liverpool’s upcoming games and Jurgen Klopp will want him back in the mix to play as soon as possible.

Liverpool are due to face Brighton in the Premier League at Anfield this weekend, before then hosting strugglers Sheffield United in their first match of April.

The Reds are in the thick of the hunt for the Premier League title this season, in a three-way battle with Arsenal and Manchester City.

Klopp’s men could also still win the Europa League, while the EFL Cup was scooped up earlier this term.
