Feyenoord’s head of performance, Ruben Peeters, is likely to follow Arne Slot to Liverpool at the end of the season, it has been claimed in the Netherlands.

The Rotterdam club have rejected Liverpool’s €9m compensation offer for Slot and are holding out for €15m.

Liverpool are committed towards taking the Dutchman to Anfield as the successor to Jurgen Klopp, who will leave at the end of the season.

A deal is expected to be struck between the two clubs and Slot will be taking coach Sipke Hulshoff with him to Merseyside with him.

According to Dutch daily De Telegraaf (via Voetbal Primeur), Slot also wants to take Peeters with him to Anfield when he joins Liverpool.

The 31-year-old has been the head of performance at Feyenoord since he joined the club in 2021.

He previously worked as the fitness coach at KRC Genk and is highly rated by Slot, who has a close relationship with him.

Peeters will be following Slot out of the Feyenoord door and into Liverpool once the two clubs have a deal in place.
