Rangers out on loan forward Sam Lammers has insisted that he is not aware of what will happen with his future in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Lammers had a terrible first half of the season at Rangers and was loaned out to FC Utrecht in the winter transfer window.

The forward has been in pristine form in the Netherlands since moving in January, scoring eleven times in 19 appearances for the Dutch outfit.

He still has a contract until 2027 with Rangers but it is unclear whether he has a future at the club.

Utrecht do not have an option to buy him but they are likely to try and keep him beyond the end of his loan stint.

However, Lammers admitted that he has no idea what is going to happen this summer and he is just focused on making sure Utrecht qualify for Europe this season.

“I don’t know what my future looks like, I have had a lot of questions about that in recent weeks”, the forward told Voetbal Primeur.

“I am not working on that now.

“The objective when I came to Utrecht was to achieve European football.

“That’s why I want to finish it now.”

It remains to be seen whether Rangers boss Philippe Clement wants to give Lammers another chance in pre-season this summer.
