Danny Rohl has not had a specific budget put in front of him at Sheffield Wednesday, according to the Star.
The Owls managed to convince Rohl to stay at the club recently and he penned a new contract at Hillsborough.
Rohl has been a man in demand after he masterminded the great escape for Sheffield Wednesday and kept the club in the Championship.
It has been suggested though that Rohl faces a summer of having to focus on signing players on free transfers or loan deals.
That though is claimed to be not fully be the case as Sheffield Wednesday are prepared to consider paying a transfer fee if the deal is the right one.
Even so, Rohl has had no specific budget put in front of him and the club will assess each proposed deal on a case by case basis.
The German is keen to strengthen the squad at Hillsborough as he seeks to ensure there will be no repeat of another relegation battle in the new season.
How much financial backing Rohl will get still remains to be seen, but the Owls will be keen to support a manager who showed his qualities last season and would not be short of offers if he walked away.
