Italian Serie B outfit Sassuolo are considering making a move for Birmingham City midfielder Juninho Bacuna this summer.

The 26-year-old midfielder was a constant presence in the Birmingham team last season, scoring seven times in the Championship.

However, he could not prevent his side from being relegated from the second tier of English football and he is now being linked with a move away from the club.

Turkish sides Sivasspor and Gaziantep are holding talks over signing the player in the ongoing transfer window.

However, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Curacao international Bacuna is also attracting interest from Italy this summer.

Sassuolo have carried out checks on Bacuna and have gathered information on what it would take to sign him.

The Serie B side are now considering whether to try and make an attempt to sign the Curacao midfielder this summer.

Sassuolo could soon open talks with Birmingham to sign Bacuna if they decide to try to secure a deal for his signature ahead of the new season.
