Derby County’s deal for Leicester City star Daniel Iverson is likely to be dependent on the Foxes’ wage contribution demands, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

The Rams are back in the Championship and Paul Warne’s side are keen on strengthening the squad before the season begins.

Derby parted ways with goalkeeper Joe Wildsmith after the expiration of his contract in June and now Warne is left shorthanded in that position.

The newly promoted Championship outfit are keen on bringing in a goalkeeper this summer and Leicester City’s Iverson is on their list.

Iverson spent the second half of the last season with Stoke City, featuring in 18 games while keeping seven clean sheets.

Derby are keen on adding Iverson to their squad, but a deal is likely to depend on Leicester City’s wage contribution demands.

Iverson is down the pecking order in Leicester and has experience of playing in the Championship under his belt.

Now it remains to be seen whether Derby will be able to come to an agreement with Leicester to seal a deal for Iverson in the coming days.
