Tottenham Hotspur look set to miss out on signing a Germany international they have been targeting after he gave a message to his current club.
Spurs have been working to trim their squad in the current transfer window, with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg the latest out of the door.
The exits have taken a considerable sum out of the club’s wage bill and they have been tipped to now step up their efforts to add to Ange Postecoglou’s squad.
They have been heavily linked with Germany international Chris Fuhrich, who was expected to be on the move this summer.
The winger though will not move, according to Sky Deutschland.
Fuhrich has considered his situation and has told Stuttgart that he does not want to leave this summer.
He has communicated his decision to the club’s coach and sporting director.
Stuttgart are now planning for next season with Fuhrich in the squad and will not sign a replacement.
The German side are also clear that they do not need to sell the winger to bring in cash and are able to keep hold of him.
All eyes will be on whether they are still tested with offers before the window closes.
